Milionário e José Rico was a Brazilian musical duo formed by the singers José Alves dos Santos, known as Milionário, and José Rico Mineiro Visoli. They were pioneers of the "sertanejo" genre, which combines traditional Brazilian folk music with country influences. Milionário e José Rico achieved great success in the 1970s and 1980s with their emotional and heartfelt songs, earning the nickname "The Heartbreakers." Their harmonies and distinctive voices made them one of the most beloved duos in Brazilian music. They continued to perform together until José Rico's death in 2015.
