Paul Motian Trio
The Paul Motian Trio was a jazz ensemble led by drummer Paul Motian. The group was active from the mid-1980s until Motian's death in 2011. Known for their unique approach to improvisation, the trio often interpreted jazz standards and Motian's original compositions in a lyrical and introspective style. The other members of the trio varied over the years, but often included some of the most acclaimed musicians in the jazz scene.
