Lokassa & Soukous Stars is a Congolese soukous band formed in the late 1970s. Led by guitarist Diblo Dibala and vocalist Aurlus Mabele, they gained popularity in the 1980s with their energetic and danceable sound. Mixing traditional Congolese rhythms with elements of rumba, salsa, and jazz, Lokassa & Soukous Stars became one of the leading groups in the soukous genre.
