Jay and Silent Bob are fictional characters created by filmmaker Kevin Smith. Jay (played by Jason Mewes) is known for his loudmouth and obnoxious behavior, while Silent Bob (played by Kevin Smith himself) rarely speaks. They first appeared in the 1994 film "Clerks" and have since made appearances in several of Smith's movies, forming a cult following. The duo often gets involved in misadventures and provide comedic relief in Smith's films.
