Destiny Navaira (born May 18, 1993) is an American Tejano music singer. Being exposed to music at an early age, Destiny became part of her family's band, Grupo Remedio. Although born in San Antonio, Texas, a region renowned as the "Tejano capital of the world", Destiny initially found it challenging to establish herself as a singer and failed to receive the response she desired. Her debut album, La Preferida, released during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, compounded her struggles to launch her music career successfully, despite receiving critical acclaim and the Tejano Music Award for Female Vocalist of the Year. Convinced that relocation to Monterrey, Mexico was her best bet at success, Destiny ventured there, seeking a breakthrough in her music career. Her second studio effort, Dime Cómo Se Siente, released in 2022, was a critical success and earned her a nomination for the Latin Grammy Award for Best Tejano Album. To further honor her roots and musical heritage, Destiny chose to record an EP, Las Letras de Mi Padre (2023), dedicated to her father and grandfather. The EP features a compilation of songs penned by the two patriarchs, showcasing the family's musical repertoire.
