Clarence "Blind Lemon" Jefferson was an influential American blues singer and guitarist. He was born around 1893 in Texas and became one of the first commercially successful male blues artists. Known for his distinctive high-pitched voice and intricate guitar playing, Blind Lemon Jefferson recorded over 80 songs between 1925 and 1929. His music combined elements of country blues and folk, and his lyrics often reflected the struggles of African Americans in the early 20th century. Jefferson's recordings greatly impacted the development of blues music and influenced countless musicians. He is considered one of the pioneers of the Texas blues style.
