97OTIS, Orlondo Otis Hundley, Born in Albany, NY on August 27th, 1997 and Raised in Schenectady,NY is Musician and Author, who grew up listening to the sounds of James Brown and Lil Wayne. Words to me have always been the greatest tool to visualize my thoughts. Being a descdant of African North American slaves, the works born by the people who share this linage have been my tradition and with my music + writing, I have hoped to bring even further that tradition, that challenges a society to laugh, cry, and testify to our time on this earth. The lives of inventors like George Washington Carver and Charles Proteus Steinmetz, have pushed me to think about life and its problems and find innovative solutions to problems. Writers like James Baldwin have taught me that empathy is not sympathy, and to write about the things you know with emotion. Leaders like Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela have taught that leadership is about service that may lead to sacrifice, goals that may require patience, and dreams that may require you to stay up all night. When it comes to recording I have always felt like Tony Stark in the cave just try to create something that could save a life, I hope these sounds will touch someone.
