はっぴいえんど (Happy End) was a Japanese folk rock band formed in Tokyo in 1969. They gained popularity in the 1970s with their unique blend of Western-influenced rock and traditional Japanese music. The band's lineup consisted of Eiichi Ohtaki, Haruomi Hosono, Shigeru Suzuki, and Takashi Matsumoto. Known for their harmonies and social commentary in their lyrics, Happy End is considered one of the pioneers of Japanese rock music. They disbanded in 1973 but left a lasting impact on the Japanese music scene.
