Jot Singh is a 23-year-old independent artist and musician based in Los Angeles. He is a self-taught guitarist and vocalist and approaches his music with the intention to impact the industry through cultural representation of the Indian-American community. His journey started in 2017 when he posted his first cover on YouTube, the summer after graduating from high school. Using just his guitar and voice, Jot slowly gained traction and millions of views covering artists like John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Jimi Hendrix, and more. Jot released his first body of original music in 2020 which was a demo EP titled ‘Blue Dreams’. He collaborated with John Mayer’s bassist, Sean Hurley, who played on records ‘Goddess of the Moon’ and ‘Sweet & Sour’. In early 2022, he released his debut single ‘Don’t Play With Fire’ which was mixed by engineer Wil Anspach. Jot has attained hundreds of thousand streams and has started to perform at venues like Harvard & Stone in Hollywood. Jot Singh is working his way further into the music industry with his new single ‘Nothing Like This World’. This song will be featured in a performance video at EastWest Studios with many notable musicians like Sean Hurley, Jake Reed, and Carey Frank. The music video will portray society losing touch with reality through the rise of virtual technology. Jot uses his creative lyric writing in this indie pop song to capture the listeners with his message.
