Dorothée (French pronunciation of the firstname Dorothy) (born 14 July 1953 in Paris), the stage name of Frédérique Hoschedé, is a French singer and television presenter. She was one of the spokeswomen of Antenne 2 in France (TV Channel 2) from 1977 to 1983, but she is more known for having presented tv shows for children in France : "Les mercredis de la jeunesse" (Chilhood's wednesdays) (1973), "Dorothée et ses amis" (Dorothee and her friends) (1977-1978), "Récré A2" (1978-1987), but most of all "Club Dorothée" (Dorothee's club) (1987-1997). She is also a singer with a large discography, and her style of songs is pop music for children, but she also recorded the most known of french traditional nursery rhymes in a record collection called "Le jardin des chan… more »
