Make the crushing weight of pressure that traps you under the rubble

Past times that you cry
A couple accusations that you're mentally not right
A couple people wish that that September you had died
But you managed to overcome everything that they tried
With the help of a guide
So let me tell you why, over every subsequent coming year you will forge
A healthier relationship between you and the LORD
Yeah you go to Church every single Sunday and more
And there's not another way I'd rather have it that's for sure
Boy you destined for greatness in avenues you don't know
See you'll be a published poet with accolades to show
Write a couple scripts and see how your portfolio grows
Pretty soon you'll start up acting and there'll be more to the story
Just wait till you get cast as Roger singing "One Song Glory"
Starting to think we'll be on Broadway past the time we're forty
And the music bro don't even get me started on that
People say you creating albums where each song fucking slaps
Man the first time you do a live show it feels like you won gold
I know for sure you'll do many more as you start to get old
So keep your heart in it and keep your personality bold
That being said while you don't change at your core
You begin to mature as you start to learn more
I know you know a lot but things will come out of the blue
So let me tell you a couple things that I wish I knew
Then maybe you won't make the same mistakes that I still do
First don't put any girl between you and friends
The only thing that comes from that is you alone in the end
And while you make some greater art that was derived from the pain
Spare yourself the loneliness that'll stay put in your brain
Yeah I got no regrets but since then nothing's the same
Second cherish your time as a youth
School will suck as you get older and yeah that's still the truth
But take advantage of the opportunities that you'll have
If you don't you'll never have as much success when you rap
Because you gon meet all the people who will help you with that
Third your parents know a lot bro
And sometimes they're the only people you got bro
I know you think they don't understand what you going through
Sometimes that's true but they're always gonna have love for you
Once you start listening to them you'll find out what to do
Fourth always keep your confidence
If you think you're the greatest no one's ever stopping this
And keep that fact in mind when you struggle to love yourself
Cause almost every time you're the only one that can help
And let me tell you I'd rather be helped by no one else
Fifth ok this one isn't a piece of advice
I struggle with but really it is necessary for life
Always keep that dreamer's twinkle in your eye
It's gonna be necessary when you begin to climb
And I already think you know the answer as to why
