The old barn door was swinging in the wind when I arrived, 
saw trailer tracks on the wet grass near the drive, 
the porch is looking dreary as I climb the steps I'm weary, 
but I'm glad to be back in my country home.

Rocking chairs broken since when it didn't rock.
Shaggy's getting on now lost his locks.
The roof got leaks and still, needs a little slating, 
and I must get 'round fixing grandfather’s clock.

There's gonna be a lot more giving, a lot more living, 
take me back, to the old house, where I belong.

think that I deserve much more and justice has already been served,
