In the twilight either side has sway

The waves roll onward, and the mountains rise up tall

My life's become an endless war

Two horizons, one on land, one on the sea
Firing questions, tearing madly at me
Should I choose to run? Should I choose to swim?
As the two worlds clash within

My father, Sea, bids; mother Earth she beckons, too

No place to rest, here; I must struggle through the surf

On the coastlines that stretch before
On the brinks of two worlds I adore
I stand and question, "What am I for?"
Will the skies reach to take me?
