Soil seeds and crabgrass weeds those days
Somehow that old cottage stayed the same  
Garden greens and backyard dreams these days
Now the sun says everyone will change

Alkaline like bleach I thought we'd stay
Intoxicated all of that away

Now we have a cute romantic, and a boy who won't say what he is
