It's that square or round device that controls your television
It's also the handheld device that controls the game system you play
That same controller controls that display that distorts our spiritual vision
And that's the truth, I don't care what nobody say
What are you being controlled by?
Is it the tv? music? people? your flesh? fear? circumstances?
Or maybe your cell phone?
See, It should be God but we only call on Him
When we want Him to control those situations that has gone wrong
We want to take control of our lives as if we shaped it
What does that say when the creation that was created
Tries to take away control from the One who created them?
It says, I don't trust You to handle it, I got this, just sit back and let me direct
How can we guide or instruct when we can't even keep our thoughts in check?
How can we guide or instruct as a finite being who creates the mess?
How can we guide or instruct when we don't even know God's Word
Don't go to church but would rather sit at home
And give praise to those so called Christian pastors on our TV set?
See, most of us don't study the actual Scriptures
Instead we use human interpretations of Scripture
As our religious authority and guide
And for some ridiculous reason
We seem to think that it's pleasing to God

Oh and the music
We allow it to control and take hold of us like a vice grip
We allow it and the tv to rock us to sleep at night
And wake up confused wondering why we had that nightmare
The music is the only thing that controls some of y'alls church attendance
Like shouting and praising and two stepping alone
Gon allow you to be present in His heavenly assembly
There are more people who shout and praise at cliche's
Rather than shouting and praising when God's Word is restated
It's cause we don't know His Word
We don't know His truths
And we'd rather be controlled by televangelist
Who plant money seeds instead of God's Word as the root
We have to let God and His Word control every aspect of our lives
And it will change the way we think, speak, dream, see
It will change the way you look at your circumstances
Even if the doctor walked in the room
And told you you had a life-threatening disease
This is the same God who controlled and parted the Red Sea
He's the same God who we gon face on judgement day
And if some of y'all don't get it together and accept Him
You will hear Him say Depart from me
He's the same God who, four days later, rose Lazarus from the dead
He's the same God who controlled the nets in the sea
Capturing fish that allowed His disciples to be fed
He's the same God who controls every breath we take
Because it's His breath in our lungs
He's the same God who steps in to fight for us
When the Devil thinks he's won
He's the same God who gave us His Son
He's the same God who is one-third of the Trinity
Yes, He's our Whole in One!

So I ask you
Who or what are you being controlled by?
The tv? music? people? your flesh? fear? circumstances?
Or your cell phone?
Will you stop quoting, let go and let God
And actually let Him take control?
See, He's Sovereign, and He's gon be in control whether you like it or not
So stop searching for His benefits elsewhere
Like they gon pop out of some random shoe box
Stop trying to take over His throne and stop trying to steal His crown
James 4:6 says, God gives grace to the humble but opposes the proud
So, it's up to you whether you will take heed, repent, accept Him, let him take control
Or just push Him to the side
Because, believe it or not, He controls the clock as well
And there will be an end of time
