I had a momentary lapse
Can't really say any more
But I just kinda snapped

I could be more forthwith
And let you in on what went down
But instead I'll plead the 5th
I hope that's not a big letdown

What went down by the river that day
Or why I had those straps
Or what I did with my axe

Yes I'm gonna keep my trap shut
And it will probably stay that way
But someone's on a long trip
And to where I shouldn't say

I just got back from the North Creek shore

It be so hard to find it
So long as I keep quiet
And don't say anymore
They can search all they like
Just don't dredge by the dike
Cause it's weighed down in the mud of the North Creek shore

It's just a stick so walk away
It's not holding down some foul play

Don't pick it up and go look in

It's just some left-over cooking

What's that's stain on my shirt you say
I must have spilled some cranberry sauce yesterday
Yeah my truck has a strong smell of bleach
Guess you can call me a clean freak

Don't want to say too much
But I think I'm gonna get away scot free
There's no evidence
Except the blood and the stench
And if the river dries up
It's gonna get real awkward for me
