I used to be proud to be a perfectionist
Then I realized my pride was deceptive when

It was preventing me from getting God's messages
Preventing me from seeing when I'm being negligent
To others feelings and emotions out of selfishness
Not comprehending my intentions were contemptuous
On a quest to be successful without his vision
Had to wrestle with the lessons god was giving
Through the testaments of blessings that I was missing
But it's humbling to fumble then be forgiven

Humility won't always solve your problems
But it will make sure that you don't cause 'em
Don't give answers when you know that you don't got 'em.
And have patience cuz you know that god'll solve em
Cuz you can't possibly
Think you can do this on your own
So act modestly
Hopefully you will start to see
That time heals all wounds so have constancy
Pretty soon you will start to be
Awarded with the lord's abundance and quantity
So if you want to live properly
