Had some family I ain't met a heart full of regrets
My mind restrained by stress from all the pain inside my chest
I can't continue life like this
Messing with my consciousness had a lack of confidence but now its pure astonishment
I make 'em  proud every time I spit with these vowels and consonants
I could arouse the continent have me drowned in compliments
But lately crowds lack common sense kids deprived of innocence
You keep it real well in a sense let me take some time to vent
Chasing broads and getting lit can't excuse the things i did
I can see the repercussions of the life I choose to live
Biggest lesson that I've learned is truly trying to forgive
Not holding onto what has happened never said that I'd forget
That's when history repeats can't show signs of defeat
Got a beast inside of me that just be vibin' to the beat
Smoking cruising through the streets felt like I'm losing sight of me
What am i supposed to do just trying to find a way to eat
Mama said she don't agree but still she proud of me
Won't ever make it if i ponder expectations I exceed
Dreams I'm chasing got me taking routes you never would believe
Keep it real even after the day that I cease to breathe
Back in high school when I started off writing this poetry
Only way to ease my mind besides smoking them potent trees
Flow is classic like I'm mashing up Luther and Jodeci
So I ain't gotta cause a scene just for people to notice me

How did it all come to this different when we was kids

Gauging it as a symptom peoples minds are really sick
To think that materials are the reason we exist
