Yeah
Move the crowd, MC protocol
Y'all can hold your breath waitin for the Pro to fall
Cook today like there's no tomorrow, we can spar
Test your chin, hands, and body with the bars
Yo what kind of scars you earn all up in the work zone
The lotus came from the mud, embrace your Earth tones
From the roots to the sky, lace your boots and your mind
Tie em up in a knot at the top of your spine
Prime with deluxe flow, time to grind for gusto
Polish mine, it's hard to shine with a mind full of rust so
I stay sharpenin my axe, parts to your caps
Can't relax when your backs on the wall and that's facts
Tax out here, they really tryna make us all pay
For everywhere we go and every single step we take
Dues paid mane, y'all on't see the cost bruh
Y'all the ones sayin do it for the culture
Do it for the culture, for the culture indeed
That just mean y'all really want me doin shit for free
And that's greed, yo how y'all pricin y'alls fee
I on't understand, man I'm just a MC
Do it for the culture, for the culture indeed
That just mean y'all really want me doin shit for free
Ayo Shreve! Damn how y'all pricin y'alls fee?
I on't understand, man I'm just a MC
Just a MC on my progression
Shows full of old lessons plus new cold questions
Raw aggression, this is spittin the raps, kickin the facts
Flippin the rhythm and bringing it back, no slippin, I'm sippin and whippin the Rav
A kick in the ass to rappers, rippin through y'all like chapters
All they wan play is the game but I'ma just hang up in the rafters
Yo where y'all took the game to, how you came out game 2?
How you carried your self when they just tend to under rank you
This a thank you to the haters and under-estimators
If it wasn't for the steps I'd never use the elevators
The wait just make it taste sweeter, I just want a 8 seater
Take the fam on the tour, me and Drugs made a heater
Let's fix a feast to eat up and put our feet up
After puttin work in then I tend to roll the trees up
Yo, breathe up, on your journey while you roll by
Beware the hookup—that might be what you get stole by
Do it for the culture, for the culture indeed
That just mean y'all really want me doin shit for free
And that's greed, yo how y'all pricin y'alls fee
I on't understand, man I'm just a MC
Do it for the culture, for the culture indeed
That just mean y'all really want me doin shit for free
Ayo Shreve! Damn how y'all pricin y'alls fee?
I on't understand, man I'm just a MC
Well do you think you have now encouraged your fans to take drugs
I don't think it will make any difference, you know
I don't think my fans are gonna take drugs just cuz I did
You know, the thing is that's not the point anyway
America's public enemy number 1: drugs
The reason that the currently illegal drugs are illegal
Has nothing to do with a scientific evaluation of the relative risks and benefits
Otherwise you could never come up with a situation
Where marijuana is illegal and tobacco is legal
You cannot make a rational argument for that, that comes from racism
Drug laws were made in explicitly racist circumstances for explicitly racist reasons
Young people that are using the drugs come from every walk of life
The old stereotype that, only the bad kids from the bad environments, and bad homes
Are the drug users, just doesn't hold true
We're quite sure now that the drug problem goes through our society
From one continuum to the other
Those who are economically well off, those who are economically poor
And all those in between, those who come from the good parts of town quote
And the bad parts of town...everyone, there is no one that escapes it
Until we find modalities of stimulating the young mind and body
Within either the school setting or in the community
Where they can feel a part of something, where something has meaning
Where there's feedback from say adult to youth and youth to adult
That we're gonna be missing the boat in any educational program
Where did this need for stimulation come from
And remember the key word, stimulation, which is opposite to boredom
And if there's any common phrase used as to why youngsters are taking drugs
Or doing the more bizarre or way out things, it is that they are bored
