Once there was a woman named Eva
Tried to help a girl, but nobody believed her
Hunted as a witch

She snuck aboard a ship

There once was a pirate who lost all his memory
Cursed by a witch who said
"Your recovery's held in the blood of a troll!"
So he searched with heart and soul

Eva made a bump in the night
And the pirate demanded she, "come out and fight!"

She said, "I could just use a ride."
And the pirate asked her, "why?"
(Oh)
Eva said, "I'm on the run
I was misunderstood when it's said and done."

The pirate said, "You'll get where you need to go
If you help me find a troll."

Eva said, "You must be a tourist
Trolls live in a mushroom forest."
When she asked him, "Why?"

Eva pulled the pirate by the hand
She was guarded and cold, but had to dance
Cause time's going fast

The pirate's memories were slowly uncovering

And that Eva should know
But only after the blood of a troll

Eva said she treasured him
And he made her a necklace with elegance
She wore it everyday
And he promised, "You could stay."

With just a few days to go
Eva shouts, "mushroom archipelago!"
When the moon was full
They hunted a troll
And sat upon its skull

Eva couldn't help but wonder
What the pirate hoped to plunder
When she asked him, "Why?"
He said

Eva woke to the sound of thunder
And the pirate's greatest blunder
She looked in his eyes
But he did not recognize
The pirate was clear, "Get off this ship
With what's happened here you must be a witch!"
And Eva's face grew tight
But she'd heard it before and didn't think twice
Then in a blink Eva had vanished
Without a trace except for the necklace
When he saw what his hands had made
He cried out her name
"Eva!"
But it was too late
Such is life to come in waves
And so once more we hear the pirate say

"Was it fate
That I would catch you?
