I just want to take a little bit of time to talk about where evoL came from
Originally evoL started as a poem that I wrote back in high school
It was a little assignment
When I was writing it I had to reflect on what is love and have I ever been in love
It was kind of a catchy title but also
I named it evoL because I feel like love is the one thing that can make you act out of character
Or do something that you wouldn't normally do
People be blinded by love sometimes even in a manipulative situation and they might not know it
Cause that's how strong love is
Sometimes if you want your love to flourish you got to be willing to compromise
Aka put your pride to the side, swallow your pride
I think it's an interesting concept because
Swallowing your pride can basically mean
Being vulnerable and open regardless of how you feel it makes you look to someone else
Some people only do it when it's their last resort
Some people view it as positive most people view it more as negative
In order to have a relationship people got to be willing to put their pride to the side
It doesn't necessarily have to happen constantly but consistently
You got to be vulnerable and transparent with your communication
And don't let your pride hold you back
I think it's really important to acknowledge that you can be both prideful and vulnerable
