Burying the Gospel in the dirt--Jesus reversed the curse
And it should cause us to be bold--look at century the first
Christians were slashed to pieces--torn by wild beasts
But now a virus got us refusing to meet?
It seems to me like the church has grown weak
What?--Did we forget 16:13-14? (1 Corinthians)

So get out there and love on God's daughters and sons
Love ain't just for the church--the world needs it too
They need to trust in Jesus before landing in a tomb
And in this time of fear and many types of death
People need hope to help them deal with stress
But the place of truest hope has stuck its head in the sand
Totally unconcerned if people end up damned
It's a tragic travesty that the church has been distorted
From the place to which people should come to find true rewardin'

On this the first-century church took a stand
Hebrews 10:25--"Gather!"--a command
How better to show our love to both God and man?
And I know what you're thinking--"the church ain't a building"
And you're one-hundred percent right--but it is a public assembly
From the Greek--ekklesia--meaning, "called out ones"
We evidence our called-out-ness on the day of the Sun
So to stop meeting publicly, to stop singing corporately
To stop preaching biblically, and stop loving sacrificially
Removes the visible presence of God from the earth
And if people can't see Him then we're truly cursed (Amos 8:11-12)
Return to the public gathering--wear a mask or don't
But if you keep riding the fence your church looks like a joke
And if your church remains closed--don't bother opening
Cuz you've already proven for six plus months you're not a necessity (Non-essential)
