After a few days, Rose grew accustomed to her life at the castle. The castle was not only full of many, many rooms but there was also a big garden with a giant water fountain in the middle that sprouted water in pretty patterns. One bright morning, Rose decided to walk around the garden. Wait a minute...this is the place in my dream where I met the prince. She realized that this garden was the one from her dreams, with a gentle stream nearby and surrounded by tall trees and flowers. This must mean that the prince is here too. I must find him and help him. Hes locked up somewhere in the castle. As Rose pondered how to find the prince, she was caught up by a delightful surprise. Rose looked up and saw several parakeets with distinctive beaks and long lustrous hairs. There were yellow, red, purple, and green parakeets. Hi there pretty birds. The parakeets didnt fly away. They seem to greet Rose instead. They actually flew onto her, sitting on her shoulders and her forearms. My oh my...how do you guys look so pretty. I wish I can see you guys every morning and hear you sing... As if the birds understood what Rose was saying, the parakeets guided her to a room inside the castle. Bright sunlight beamed through the glassy ceiling, filling the room with brightness. This room was full of parakeets. There were bird cages hanging down from the ceilings too. Among some of the parakeets, there were some that spoke. Hello, Rose. Hello! Wow! You can speak. Thats amazing. I am Rose; its so nice to meet you. You as well... From that day on, Rose no longer felt lonely. The few parakeets would come and keep her company. They would do this whenever Rose had her meals. Rose came across another peculiar room. When she first entered, it felt like a normal room. There were seven windows that were covered with curtains and a chair. One day, Rose grew lonely and missed her father and her siblings. She stumbled into this room and sat in the only chair in the room. Rose was startled. The curtain parted and a great scene of dresses and shoes appeared through the windows. Music began to play and colorful lights shone brightly. The dresses and shoes began to dance to the music. It consoled Rose. She felt as though the performance was for her sake - to make her feel better. This is utterly amazing. Could there be anyone else in the world experiencing such marvelous things? I am so blessed... Day by day, Rose grew fond of living in the castle. The beasts castle was magical and provided Rose with newfound joy and happiness. Well, not quite everything! There was one thing Rose could do without: the beasts daily marriage proposal. Every night, the beast would ask Rose. Rose, will you marry me? The beasts proposal for marriage echoed in Roses ears everyday. But Roses response was the same. No, I cant. The beast felt sad but he never expressed anger nor questioned Roses decision. He just got up, bid her good night, and left. While he had the appearance of a beast, he wasnt different from Rose.
