Please don't let the music stop cause I can't take the silence
Please don't let me wake up I hate the sight of all this fighting
There's a war outside my bedroom door I see my demons smiling
They been peeking through the peephole looking at me as I write this
And I can see their faces passing
As I'm looking in the mirror
But I slip straight through the glass so quick to shatter
Bad luck, hands been lacerated badly
Tryna pick up all the pieces place em back where they inhabit
And I've grappling with my past
But that's just one of many facets
One of the things that I imagine
As if plastic in my palate
Spit fallacies like its a habit
Walking under Jacob's ladder
Bad luck doesn't matter
Tryna climb up see the past
Traumatized by what had happened
Not by sadness pain or malice
Just the fact I wish I had it
Man this feeling never lasts it keeps me laughing
Cause my thoughts been too erratic
Forming scars through ripping scabs
Kinda funny how writing passages
Could be my rite of passage
But that's a hopeful thought
Tell myself it's just a dream but man I really hope I'm wrong
Feeling like I'm Nabokov
Zoning while I'm dozing off
And I only count the hours when I'm asleep feel like a broken clock
And lately I been dreaming bout my life a lil while ago
Back when I was a five year old and I ain't know my life could go
South so quick, wish I hadn't taken the winding road
So I'm just glad these dreams help me ignore what I ain't like to know
Pictures on my wall from times I wish hadn't seen their end
Pictures on my wall with people I'll never see again
I just wished I waved goodbye before they fell into the deeper end
So I'll just do it in my dreams
They been making me believe again
I can save him in my dreams
But still I wake up weak and crying
Seen a baby in my dreams
Say I don't know him but I'm lying
Feel so angry when I speak
I make believe that it's the timing
And lately I dream of life to help me cope with my fear of dying
