Minuteman

Minutemen were members of the organized New England colonial militia companies trained in weaponry, tactics, and military strategies during the American Revolutionary War. They were known for being ready at a minute's notice, hence the name. Minutemen provided a highly mobile, rapidly deployed force that enabled the colonies to respond immediately to military threats. They were an evolution from the prior colonial rapid-response units. The minutemen were among the first to fight in the American Revolution. Their teams constituted about a quarter of the entire militia. They were generally younger, more mobile, and provided with weapons and arms by the local governments. Flashbacks to those late drives in December
But all the happiness dries up by the end of winter
And I hate myself every time, try not to remember
All the happy times that we shared back in September
Come save me
I've been praying for someone to come save me
Things change but nothing will ever change me
Fucked up been looking to drugs lately
Oh well, cruising without a seatbelt
Send help, praying that I can get well
I fell, locking me up in your cell
Your smell, I miss your smell
Flashbacks to those late drives in December
But all the happiness dries up by the end of winter
And I hate myself every time, try not to remember
All the happy times that we shared back in September
Can't be myself, but that's obvious everyone knows it
In a fucked up world where friends can turn into locusts
Better watch your back, round people you think are the closest
Cause they're the ones that will leave, and leave you heart broken
You try your best but it's not enough
Start filling up another cup
Sipping henny straight from the bottle when all of your problems are nothing but adding up
God I'm wishing for some better days
Always talking but I never pray
Got so much that I wanna say
God I wishing for some better days
God
I'm wishing for better days
September, yeah
Take me back to September
Flashbacks to those late drives in December
But all the happiness dries up by the end of winter
And I hate myself every time, try not to remember
All the happy times that we shared back in September
Stop wishing for war
Start wishing for peace
Cause whether you like it or not
We're stuck in a world
That's falling apart at the seams
But nothing's as bad as it seems
Constantly breaking to teams
But no I don't wanna choose sides
I'd rather die, than pick between you and or I
It's hard to decide, yeah
Flashbacks to those late drives in December
But all the happiness dries up by the end of winter
And I hate myself every time, try not to remember
All the happy times that we shared back in September
