Then he made his move creeping on the carpet toward me
Showing me his teeth growling like a beast
Headed down the hall straight for me
How can I get some peace of mind at piano lesson time

Hides my pencil chews my book and then he acts surprised
Don't be fooled by the way he look he might be small in size
But he's got trouble in his eyes
And I don't know why Mrs. Johnson doesn't see him
Sharpening his nails while I do my scales
Waiting for the clock to free him
And chase me around the living room after my lesson's through

Here comes Wednesday afternoon
Oh no
Piano lesson day
I wish it would be over soon but I won't run away
I'll face him stare him in the eye
Read his doggy mind find out why he wants to scare me
I wonder could it be he's afraid of me
Just because I'm bigger barely
Maybe he's playing cat and mouse at Mrs. Johnson's house
Except I'm the mouse
