Joe Davis

Joseph Davis (15 April 1901 – 10 July 1978) was an English professional snooker and English billiards player. He was the dominant figure in snooker from the 1920s to the 1950s and has been credited with inventing aspects of the way the game is now played, such as break-building. With equipment manufacturer Bill Camkin, he drove the creation of the World Snooker Championship by persuading the Billiards Association and Control Council to recognise an official professional snooker championship in 1927. Davis won the first 15 championships from 1927 to 1946 and remains the only undefeated player in World Snooker Championship history. He scored the championship's first century break, in 1930. When you're in a situation
And you don't know where to go
You feel your life's at a standstill
And you feel all alone
If you're grieving for a loved one
With a breakup on the side
And you need someone to talk to
In me, you can confide
With all your feelings amplified
I can see it in your eyes
Just know that when they multiply
I'll be there by your side
You can run to me
When you need anything
Like a shoulder to lean on
Or a hug when you need one
You can run to me
When your life's in despair
And you wanna give up
If you've had enough
Know that you can run to me, run to me
Come to me, come to me
You know that you can run to me
In a world filled with anxiety
And depression on the rise
Your energy's depleted
I can see you're paralyzed
Just don't give up on the future
Don't feed your mind all these lies
Cause things will turn around
And then you too will be surprised
Oh with all your feelings amplified
I can see it in your eyes
Just know that when they multiply
I'll be there by your side
You can run to me
When you need anything
Like a shoulder to lean on
Or a hug when you need one
You can run to me
When your life's in despair
And you wanna give up
If you've had enough
Know that you can run to me, run to me
Come to me, come to me
Just know that you can run to me
Now all your hope is lost
Because of mistakes that were made
But if you play your pawns right
Then your hope will be regained
Know that you can run to me, run to me
Come to me, come to me
Yeah
You know that you can run to me
You can run to me
When you need anything
Like a shoulder to lean on
Or a hug when you need one
You can run to me
When your life's in despair
And you wanna give up
If you've had enough
Know that you can run to me, run to me
Come to me, come to me
You know that you can run to me
Mm-mm
Know that you can run to me, run to me
You know that you can run to me
You know that you can run to me, run to me
Come to me, come to me
You know that you can run to me
Know that you can run to me, run to me
You know that you can run to me
