He walked into his room exhausted

He threw his bag into the closet
Pulled out a chair and sat in a daze

A place to hide
Nowhere does it lie
He knew it was all in his mind
But he felt alright
He felt just fine

He saw his reflection in the distance
Which started melting with the falling rain
Voices spoke to him but he wouldn't listen
He wanted everything to stay the same

He followed a river down to the sea
And watched the waves roll to the shore
Got on a boat and sailed away
Now nothing mattered to him anymore
