Maybe I was wrong before
But I was looking for a thing I shouldn't be looking for
But baby you got me on time
And I'm the first to say
That you've shaken the way that I'm going through my days

And you're alright, you got me uptight
And you're all time, you got me in line
And you're all talk, and you don't know your mind, your mind

And I hate to think of you all alone
And I'll call you on the phone
And I'll say "You're the real thing, You're the real thing"
Yes, you really are
And I hate to think of you moving on
But you put me in the zone
And I'll say "You're the real thing, You're the real thing"
Yes, you really are

Maybe I will make amends
But I was thinkin' that you'd break my heart for the second time
But baby I say you're a sign
And you're the best and worst girl in my world
And I'm gonna make you mine

And you're alright, you got me uptight
And you're all time, you got me in line
And you're all talk, and you don't know your mind, your mind

And I hate to think of you all alone
And I'll call you on the phone
And I'll say "You're the real thing, You're the real thing"
Yes, you really are
And I hate to think of you moving on
But you put me in the zone
And I'll say "You're the real thing, You're the real thing"
Yes, you really are

You are, you are the real thing baby
You are, you are the real thing baby
You are, you are the real thing baby
You are, you are the real thing baby
