Bravery, tenacity these things are gone
Credulity, conformity and cowardice have won
Narratives of fear we need to feel assured
Common folk before they long and hard endured

Up the chimneys down the mines though it was hard
Eggs and bacon soaked and fried in pans of lard
Yet nearly everyone in frames of black and white
Looked like they were guaranteed to win the fight

Just today a thought perplexed and struck at me
That all the little children through the ages seem
To be the same as those before them could it be
The truth to which we cling is just a fallacy

Progress though we've made is still a distant dream
Greater from the ends the gap of in-betweens
And lost within the loud voice of minority
Resounds the voice of the silent majority

What we need to do is shift the entire wave
The highest highs and lowest lows to which we're slaves
Up beyond the average zero grounded state
From history we'll learn so please don't wipe the slate

Keep the artefacts and learn the battle plans
From every victory and failure that damned
Us to the world that was our mere inheritance
The good aspects to which we owe our recompense

The bad sides though they seem to us innumerable
Communication clear makes us manoeuvrable
As a single body that's the way we'll move
Always relay never delay news to prove

That victory against the odds is ours through choice
When all are granted their own turn to share their voice
While twice the quantity of ears turn to hear
The law of truly large numbers will guide and steer

When all the guesses totalled up and then the mean
The average value of the data places clean
Around the correct answer close enough to lean
Direct upon the arrow pointing to the dream

Of all humanity the focus of our race
From Earth, our galaxy, and from the whole of Space
And taking in the whole of what we know as time
Greater is the intellect of the collective mind
