I can confidently say that I've reached my lowest point
Every day seems to be reassuring the point
That things will get better
One step at a time
Still frightened by the sight of her

Trying to get back to how things were
It's making me very stressed
And I'm very tired mentally
Especially during my senior year
But at least I know I am trying
I know people will believe the things she says
And that I may lose friends
But in the end at least I know I am striving
Trying to do the best I can to improve my work ethic
And to improve the relationships I've built with my true friends
My past tends to make me want to hold back
Or to express my doubts more than I used to
But at least I know I'm trying

This notion people set on you to be a certain person made me realize that I'm not them
I wanna be me, I wanna express myself freely
I wanna acknowledge I have flaws
I wanna acknowledge that I'm not perfect
And that at the very least I'm living on my own terms
This mentality has helped me get so far
Writing orchestral pieces in my room that are getting published
Set Motion playing through my headphones while I get my work done
And to those that made fun of me
At least I finally know where I'm going
Performing not for the orchestra but now for the choirs and bands
Music theory lessons dripping through the seams of the songs that I'm writing
I'm finally doing what I love
I'm improving my mental health tenfold
I'm getting my work done
I've finally gotten to the point where I can look back and say
"That definitely was my lowest point"
I could not have done this without the help of my true friends, mentors, brother and parents
Maybe I'll reflect back at this in the future as a parent and reminisce how far I've come

Dry mouth waking up this morning
Realizing that the mass'll be gone
My heart pounding with exhaustion
This is the last day, I'll be mourning
Been through the hallways and back
Misused and blacked out by the fear of judgement
Glad I didn't back out of that program my momma suggested that night
Even though I thought even in that scenario I wouldn't strive
Now graduation is about to arrive
And I'm about to walk in line
