Long ago when I wandered young and free
An evil witch in an evil day cast a spell on me
Now she sees in her mirror all we do
When we make love she watches us
And she plans to poison you
Through the mirror she can see me from the other side
Through the mirror in her castle at the end of time
Through the witch’s mirror she can see forever
She will find us where ever we go
Unless I break that mirror we don’t have a future
I will have to serve her
It’s a journey dangerous as can be
But I have to break her hold on me
I came at last to the dark realm of the queen
Her tower stood on a mighty rock on the edge of a mighty sea
I knocked on the door to plead for a place to sleep
I wore a cloak and I wore a hood
In the hope I was not seen
Break the mirror in the castle: blind the witch’s eye!
Break the mirror in the castle at the end of time!
Through the witch’s mirror she can see forever
She will find us where ever we go
Unless I break that mirror we don’t have a future

Down from the tower there flew
A great white bird with the wings of an eagle
