3 Me when you see me
3 Me when you see me
3 Me when you see me
Had to do that shit 3 times
Yea
La Familia ain’t no familiar faces
I got blood that seem more like strangers
It’s dangerous, when I think about it
And god forbid I ever speak about it
If by chance my new family meets the old
There’s a couple things that you really need to know
There’s a few people that you really gotta meet
And there’s a few people that you’ll never ever know
Raised right by the women and did wrong by the men
With this pen I carve my path and my name in cement
They could hate it the fact I ain’t ever graduated
Though it’s two years late I’m hoping this time I will make it
Cross the stage on my way to that glory and fame
Just to forget everything a nigga write on this page
And though my family don’t understand the concept
They understand that I was always meant to go beyond it
What’s a scholarship when you could make a living off of writing your truth
To my unborn kin just know I’m writing for you
Trynna give you the good life, the one that I never knew
And for that I gotta the leave past I’ll get back to it soon
See in this moment
I gotta find my place on this earth
Still trynna find my voice
That they put in the dirt
So I put in the work, until a nigga fade
And looking back I'm wondering who’s to blame
La Familia ain’t no familiar faces
I got blood that seem more like strangers
It’s dangerous, when I think about it
And god forbid I ever speak about it
If by chance I grow up to be another screw up
Ha, unlikely truth, bitch bite me
This for every time that a nigga had it bad
And had to face reality alone, where you at?
I remember the first time I hopped on a stage
Momma drove me to New York my words hopped off of the page
Though ain’t nobody really f*ck with the shit that I say
I still turned into a nigga making music for pay
But grandma got different plans that’s handed down from generations thats way outta touch with now
Don’t like the sound, they tell me pipe it down but f*ck your feelings
I bet you don’t like me now
The hyper active kid with a golden heart
But his soul like coal, cause he torn apart
Before my life was a movie, still played that part
Now I’m older and I learned how to play that smart
Now I got dreams nigga’s shooting for the moon
Landed on the stars, ain’t nothing I could do
So now I keep my family close after building my own
I let my bloodline get cut from the rope
