Rewind the tape saved by my memory bank
When the heaviest pain wasn't playing escape
Selling plain old clothes in Plano to Plato's for Play Dough
Now I pay dough to portray dough stack bricks
Andale go, I may go, eat my own words
Like take home, treat issues like my energy
And lay low, paying debts to my depths kind of
Like a loan, alone
Reaching for a bar but can't grasp the concept
Looking for the hook but can't block the nonsense
Hoping for a flow but jabs at the process
Longing for a song that can top off the charts and
Preaching to the choir prayed on like the prophets
Shooting at my mark but just off the target
Showing that I've grown but feel like the smallest
Wronging all my rights feel like I've restarted!

Lost in a struggle between comfort and stress
They're together kind of like newly weds in a bed
Under the covers they slept, until they quarrel and wept
Under the rugs they swept, all their struggles instead
Of figuring things out as they come and go
I find myself internalizing every come and go
Every high and low seems like a mountain and trough
Told to let it go just sweat it you're cold
Introverted I'm hurting looking for some burning to learning
Determined for perfect but I mistaken the verdict for certain
Returning to service like a preacher to some churches for sermon
Researching the person that is me for conversion and purpose
My words are concerning but none of them are even scratching the surface
To what I write in my down time I tell myself that I'm worthless
I know that might be disturbin I tell myself I'm a burden
But honestly don't be so nervous cuz I know that God is working and
