The road is littered with oddities and illusions
Meanwhile my heart is attended by confidence and confusion
Am I too careless? Am I too careful? Or am I two -- faced?
And I want to know. I just want to know, but do I really want to -- know?
And so it goes
And I'm embracing all that life has to offer
Not letting any moment slip away
Opting to maintain my sense of dignity
Or something resembling such if I may
To use up my desire for unknowing
To deliver my acceptance to defeat
And if I am old enough to know better,
Can I still be young enough to be naïve?
And as we gaze upon locations once out of focus
We find every aspect of reality is coming into place
Fitting together like crude puzzle pieces
To tell the story once neatly arranged
Of trading normality for a cultured perspective
Of trading in one's definition of normality
And again I've arrived at some kind of heaven
And again I must be leaving

As well as having been unable to help myself
I have befriended certain circumstances
Knowing whatever the outcome, this will not end well

Forcing a smile or offering a wave
