A life I live in sorrow isn't one I wanna see
But it's unfortunate a life lived in sorrow lived by me
Is a life I'm living now contemplating by the sea
All the things that make up me and who I really wanna be
A life that's filled with sorrow also comes with hella stress
About the moves you make in life it's complicated like its chess
At least for me since I'm no genius who ain't lookin for success
But I try to look ahead and live this life and just progress

Who just loves to tease and taunt about my problems which are several
Like a bike not moving forward he's the one that broke my pedal
Seems I can't move forward if I'm living out the past
But how do I move on if I always finish last?
Slow and steady wins the race but my problems they amassed
And it slows me down drags me down hope I solve this fast
Why's it feel the light I have is getting dimmer by the day?
Why's the color in my life start to slowly fade to gray?
It seems the sorrow that I have will only go and help betray
The sense of joy and my emotions got me thinking as I pray
Pray and hope the times right now will go by in a flash

Don't know what will happen so I'm sitting here just nervous
Can't gather all the strength I need to climb up to the surface
Do I call it quits right now or just keep digging with no sense
Of really knowing what I'll find as I'm digging in suspense
I might just dig forever and the hole would be immense
