Maybe baby people like me should be quarantined 
Locked in a cell then lose the key
Until we are long forgotten 

Good for laughs and entertainment but little more to see
I'm just a vaudeville clown to be 
eventually long forgotten 

But if you hold onto nothin'
Then nothin's just what happens
You could just go unnoticed 
You could just lose your mind
I'll lay it all down on the line
And if you are so inclined
You could come along for the ride

My prevailing disposition lately seems to be
Dwindling back towards apathy
I knew it was bound to happen

Pies in the face I slip on things in plain sight for laughs it seems
I'm just a Vaudeville clown to be
Eventually long forgotten

Then something just might happen
You'll likely go unnoticed
Until, well, it is your time
I'll lay all down on the line
And if the gods decide
Then I'll see you on the other side

Something tells me time might up and shut the door on me
No final bow no final speech
Possibly bound to happen
