At the one who tells us that we're heaven-sent

But then my redeemer came in and I woke from my sleep

And I don't know why but I can tell you how
When I was in the darkness I heard that sound
And when I turned, lightning flashed before my eyes
I heard a still small voice telling me that night

So I had all these questions about this new life
Cause I never knew this guy who's named Jesus Christ
So I picked up a Bible and my soul felt a wind
And when I read those red letters I ain't been the same since

Sooner than later I read those words every day
But I was questioning why I still felt the same
Then the good Lord told me that to die is to gain
So I gave my life to Him and picked up my new name

So I ain't gonna say that I have never fell short
Cause it's on those days that I say Lord I need you more
And the journey's been wild but it's been worth the way
Cause the Holy Spirit's been reminding me every day
