Sometimes it gets hard when I look at the world and see nothing but pain and distress
Where people are dying from hunger and others are dying from being depressed
I wish I could help, but I'm almost as broken and tired as all of the rest
I put up a guard and I try to be tough, but the bullets go right through the vest
I just wanna love all the throwaways, but I struggle with loving myself
I feel like I'm lacking the comfort I'm desperately trying to give someone else
It's hard when your running on empty, to work up the courage to help
I know that I'm fading and honestly need to take note of my own mental health

At moments I feel like I'm fine, but I know that I'm not, and I struggle with faith
I struggle with doubt and I struggle believing the words that I speak when I pray

I'm asking for peace, and I'm asking for sleep, cause my body is too weak to stand

You think are stronger but really you're weak

Does that make you angry? Well good cause it should and it's time for the culture to shift
When Jesus said love on your neighbor, he meant even people with different skin
He gave us a mission to reach all the nations that doesn't just stop at your kin
Jesus I'm tired, but give me the strength to stand up for my brothers who can't
