Everybody walking in the dark now

I was in a bad place for a long time, believe me

Perceiving reality through a kaleidoscope
Had it twisted, so vivid, I missed that my only hope
Was switching from wishing, instead giving God control

He gave me life, now I am safe and I'm living by grace through faith
Never perfect, but increasing, forget my feelings, keep believing
I can see now and so clearly, the light inside will never leave me

Look, nowadays we're so caught up in what's in front of us

Crushing us, we strike our browser history
So that we look clean, but we're never getting victory
No more of that, no more chasing what our flesh wants
The sinless Son of God, He came and suffered death once
So that we could be free, let's live like it, 'cause guess what?
If we really love God, the enemy cannot best us
This world is messed up, sin is always elevated
But with the Holy Spirit in us we got sanctification
Our pursuits and our desires are forever changing
As we become more and more like the One who made us
So I'm dying to my flesh and I'm living for the Lord
You know my enemy cannot stand against the sword
I know this life ain't easy, living it's a war
But the Lion's on my side, face me, you gon' hear His roar
