At least I made good friends but almost all of them are livin in
Different cities and I feel the need
Of real companionship
Stranded where I have to do some kind of apprenticeship
I just wanted happiness
But never did accept I had to grow through many tragedies
Just wanted to feel realness
Be fearless
But without the Lord I felt cheerless
These trials and tribulations gave shape to my character
I prepared for a short run but had to realize life is a race in a marathon
My faith gives healing to my soul, I shouldn’t worry ‘bout a thing
Surely now I bring
Many skills to the table
Willin and able to put the work in for the right outcome
But when the outcome ain’t income I’m about done
Finished where I left off - where I’ve come from
But my lady encourages me to keep pushin on
Even where it gets uncomfortable like the seat cushion’s gone
And get up after defeat like Lebron
Some more of my people have come to live in Cologne
So now I don’t feel so alone
