Yeah, yeah-yeah
Yeah

R-I-P to the weekend, drinkin' and oversleepin'
Dream of nothin', playin' pretend, I'm overthinkin'
At the stop sign frozen when that siren goes by
Another riot I'm avoidin' off of Waring and Vine
Eyes open, mouth closed, potholes on the road
People livin' on that street corner, heavy, but it's home
Kobe murals every other block, pain don't stop
Pay no mind, the real evil left unwatched
FTP sign plastered over Melrose Ave
By that long line at cookies where the hoods buy hash
I can't help but get to feeling like the vibes don't match
I try to laugh, but it's muffled by the light white mask, and, uh
Summertime, I've been losin' hope
Fireflies in the wind, the smoke
Psilocybin while I'm sippin' champagne got me feeling like

Maybe it's just a game
We play to stay alive
Maybe it's just a game
We play to survive
Funny it takes the pain away for a while
While, stay a while
While, stay a while (check, yeah)

I'm stuck inside this game of life, I'm tryna level up
I caught some Ls but I'ma turn 'em to a W
Feels like I'm in a daze (yeah), I don't even know what's goin' on (nah)
Got too much on my brain, I'm just tryna keep my mental strong (yeah, yeah)
I got so much on my mind I can't even talk about it (nah)
Every day feeling like the next, but I just smoke about it (smoke, smoke, smoke)
And if things go left, I'll be alright
'Cause I got me, myself and I, yeah

Maybe it's just a game (yeah, yeah)
We play to stay alive (sometimes it is)
Maybe it's just a game (yeah, yeah)
We play to survive (yeah)
Funny it takes the pain away for a while
While, stay a while
While, stay a while

Another dog, another day
Another dollar gone to waste
Even when I don't wanna play
I'm still lost inside in the game
Another dog, another day
Another dollar gone to waste
Even when I don't wanna play
Hoping it all makes sense someday

Maybe it's just a game (yeah, a game)
We play to stay alive (sometimes it is)
Maybe it's just a game (yeah, a game)
We play to survive (yeah)
Funny it takes the pain away for a while
While, stay a while
While, stay a while
