At the doorway of the chapel
A thousand petals danced in the air

By Fall we’d heard the rumours
An ill wind blew through our town
Such a blue day when the blue men
Came to take my Marshall away

With Winter came the order
To lead my gentle lamb to slaughter
Fighting in a war he had no heart or mind for
