Socrates

Socrates (; Ancient Greek: Σωκρᾰ́της, translit. Sōkrátēs, [sɔːkrátɛːs]; c. 470 – 399 BC) was a classical Greek (Athenian) philosopher credited as one of the founders of Western philosophy, and as being the first moral philosopher, of the Western ethical tradition of thought. An enigmatic figure, he made no writings, and is known chiefly through the accounts of classical writers writing after his lifetime, particularly his students Plato and Xenophon. Other sources include the contemporaneous Antisthenes, Aristippus, and Aeschines of Sphettos. Aristophanes, a playwright, is the only source to have written during his lifetime.Plato's dialogues are among the most comprehensive accounts of Socrates to survive from antiquity, though it is unclear the degree to whi… more »

My brain is in the clear, thoughts focussed on her figure yeah
It could've been my year, very near
Pardon me dear, artistry is a part of me
But my inner ear be asking me to listen to you sincere

That dudes a geek & you a freak of the week
Parliament LP's, Passin Me By like The Pharcyde
I'm parlaying while you laying in the cut surprised,
Butterflies in the gut I had to euthanize

So I could socialise, I took the right
Cos the left was uncivilized 85
Stand behind, Stan Getz records on the recliner,
Let the ends divide, stepping lightly through your enterprise

It ain't no Star Trek I see the Hermes scarf on the neck
Word is you need to get the crib refurbished
But first things first, twist up this earth
& take a hit to resurface, two tropics immersive

Getting high is getting lonely (Hemisphere)
Staying fly but it's only (Hemisphere)
What we on if we only (Hemisphere) (The Hemisphere) (Speaking from the Hemisphere)

Refelections getting' older
But bars are getting colder
These bars I frequent less
Less I'm behind some decks but lady Yes
Bless this mess
Life is like a box of train wrecks heavy burning in my chest, pop quiz test
Who fly as Micky Mantle burning orisha candles
In Berkonscot Sandals, a bata drum and some cattle
You, slender box of Newport Jazz fest fresh
Joni Mitchell sound check, conversations for the neck
Very near, before you I was barely here
And now I'm speaking like a Ted Talk feeling fairly clear
Very Rarely, dear, do I see equals at play
Two parallel lines somehow connect on a singular wave
This ain't no hashtag for execs abusing with sex
Refuse to respect, love or protect or just live and let
Shine Queen, probably we blind Queen, anyway
Disregard the booze on my breath, this gig don't really pay
Wrote you a one-act play, on a napkin
I Stashed it under your ashtray
Named it Timbuktu in a day
I spoke of the sun and I
Wrote with the moon and I
Made a mantra of us dancing without no tunes then I
Witness flawless victory, Mortal Kombat proposed with
A quarter resting on the console, and you know that I stole it
THE END quote it, chart it up as old shit, OH Shit
Records over, I run it back while you rollin' but
You just rolled out, no doubt
Step through the door and left the bar with your phone out
Napkins on the floor name and number still unknown now
Reflections getting older child
Bars are getting colder wow
