I. Rebels

Another day in my small, little world,
As I rub the sleep off from my eyes.
The sky looks the same as it did before,
But I don't know if I really care.

Everything's the same as it always is,
I know I've got to do what I do.
But how I wish I could stay inside,
Wrapped up in my little cocoon.

But there's this thing that keeps me pumped,
There's this thing that keeps me alive.
Like a cat with paranoia, always on their toes,
But never scared to flee from the fight.

My heart beats faster every single day,
Every time I sense you are near to me.
I often tremble and I often shake,
But I don't know what that really means.

Could it be, that I've got nerves,
Or is it something else that's pumping through my veins?
Just alone, sat upon my wall,
I'm ready and waiting,
Always waiting!

Yet when you're here, I'm always grateful,
But terrified of what might be said.
I'm blending in, no longer alone,
I'd like to think it isn't a dream.

Fleeing the grasp of your small hometown is what will keep you well and sane.
Oh, but you're never too close and you're never too far, to let a true bond break away.
All those railway lines and motorways are the blood that keeps us together.
All the happiness that we all give, will never slow us down.

Let us hit this town and go all the way,
Hanging out and having some fun!
You know I'm always happy to free my wild side,
And to put myself on cruise control.

You guys seems the ones who stay up all night,
Doing stuff, the folks don't know,
But when the morning comes, you spring back to life,
As if none of it was ever true.

Some others act like I don't even exist,
Others slip me down into a trance!
Oh man, they got me hypnotised,
But I'm flying high as a kite!

You change your style, almost every week,
Looking like you're somebody new.
The colour of your hair is always different each time,
How I love all the things that you do.

Your modified bodies make me love you more.
All that ink and metal is pure ecstasy!
'You guys seem like the people I was destined for!'
Is what I sometimes say to myself.

Later on, I get back home and lay myself to rest,
Wishing that I could be one of the cool cats I've just met.
But I know for well that I ain't built like all of them,
I can't even understand half the things they say to me.

Good lord! What do I do?

I know for well that I'm not one of them,
But I was born to break all those rules!
I'm sick 'n tired of being the loner,
Wandering 'round with no place to go!

But do you know that you are still young?
Do you know that they don't see you, the same as you see them?

V. Flowers In The Sun

Under clear blue skies,
Does the grass stay green,
And the daisies peep from below.
The air is fresh, with a lukewarm breeze,
And the clouds have flown away.
And in the shade, I see four, young Beings,
Colourful and wonderous,
Basking in the April sun.

Each one, a sign, of love and pure light.
Three children and their mother,
Each holding one's hand.
In silence, they lay,
As their minds whisper softly,
To each and everything they see.

All that is one,
And all that is now,
All that is living,
And all that has been,
Learn from us, and all that we see!
From the seeds in the soil, to the leaves in the trees.

We are the world as it changes each day,
And all that's in between.

One child looks up, into the great beyond,
And turns to their mother, with a twinkle in their eye.
Their mother, so beautiful, and as tall as the trees,
places a crown upon each of her children's heads.

She sings to them softly,
So, no one will hear,
She's so proud of all they have done.
A kiss is then planted, upon each of their heads,
And sends them softly, to sleep.

It's got to be free,
And it's got to be real.
Or else it would be, just an illusion to me.
There's a pathway to peace,
And there's a valley of tears.
In life, we must find, a meaning to all these.

And all that is here, and all that is now,
Belongs to each and every one.

Upon the ground, do people lay,
And open their dreams,
And wish that everything would come true.
I wish that I was one with them,
In love and in light.
And to be the one that brings them joy.

In the April sun, five Beings play,
And live out their dreams.
Holding hands and singing towards the sky.
All their fantasies come to life, and take their hands,
And dance until the night draws near.
