Will you remove this cup? I want to be like your Son, yet How can a finite man – how When loss the only known and Victory is eclipsed by defeat If love's sacrifice becomes Meaningless, with no reward? It's the correlation between Possibility versus inevitability As probability would seem to negate All chances of a flourishing love when Mankind rumors of wars and searches For new gods to wed Jesus, your Bride is inevitable Those who dwell in you, yet on This earth brides failed to choose Grooms who've died to self, brides To meet an already sacrificed man waiting At altars to become anew as one flesh Should I come to an altar with expectancy For what's to come, or is desire but a vain Imagination deserving separation between Position space and imaginary time? For an infinite God it's inevitable To find your Bride, perhaps already Happened if Heaven's metaphysics Subterfuge even theories of infinity If time is but a one-dimensional Pinpoint compared to eternity Yet I'm stuck in a transitory world Now; there's a Bride, but will she heed Your call, the ideals of until death do us part For better or worse, when your provision Abolishes death and creates a utopic city To last forever? Will brides and grooms of this earth Ever stand in union just as you wait By your Bride with everlasting patience? Here I am, your Spirit calling to become A mouthpiece, not just speaking into existence But to speak life to a Bride racing towards demise To speak in faith irrespective of cost or outcome I wish you'd remove this cup, but This must be the cost, for this existence Feels like a metaxis between war and peace Love and apathy, yet here I am, ready to speak
