They employed me and had a good time feeling their boxes,
I stopped to take a break, my back aching, walking out like Moses,
Had time to run some errands,
Gave away money, now I learned a lesson,
Arrived back to the supermarket, with no type of money, I was starving,

Ordered food, caught me lacking, asked if I had a receipt,
Looked at him for a minute and told the guy yes sir I have a receipt,
Said man I was in line,
He called upfront damn it was closed,
I'm out of my mind, he knew I was lying,
Now I'm walking towards that main door,
I made attempts to take my life it led me to sadness,
Came home grabbed a knife, went upstairs, cut myself made scratches,
Tried to forget all about it, went to sleep left that knife on my mattress,

Woke up sad, like something bad happened
But it was nothing, I was fighting demons,
Cause of how I felt so much pain inside of me,

Had to move to my father's place, just to get some space and have a bit of peace, I was feeling better found a current job and received a decent dose of money

A mixture of anxiety and depression had settled in
Now I walked inside hospitalized, and the doctor said to take some medicine,
I've been struggling, couldn't take no more, oh my higher power I have sinned,
Been tryna get my self together,
rotate my life over to my higher power Jesus Christ,

Three days later it was time to go,
Arriving home now satisfied, tturning music to my gospel,
let her listen for a minute she thought my song was doggone beautiful,

My mother recommended proceeding to recovery, that's where I'll tell my story cause friday night is so peaceful
The Stuff I did in the past was arriving back to track me down,
I maintained returning and receiving blessings cause god never let me down,
We decided to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of god,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart lean not on your understanding,
In all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight,
But let god remake you so that your attitude of mind is changed,
If we depend on Jesus to take away our sins we all can be saved in the same way by coming to Christ no matter who we are,

I tried to do it all by myself in my power and I have failed,
I want to turn my life to you so God's promise can be fulfilled,
Asked you to be my lord and savior your the only higher power,
I asked that you help me start thinking less about myself and my will,
Want to turn my life to you to daily seek your direction and wisdom for my life
Please continue to help me overcome my hurts, hang-ups, and habits,
This is your true and proper worship,
If you confess Jesus is lord you'll be saved
