The daily charade, my routine is a mess
Have I been sleeping too late
Am I getting enough rest
Well, I don't know the date, or what to do next
Should I bother to shave
Should I even get dressed
For a lonely parade, around the house on a float
I've been working on my royal wave, from my front window

But I'll see you all again, don't forget me my friends
We're all doing the best we can, we'll reunite when we're meant
Till then I'm holding on and holding tight, to a day that's still so far off in the night

Till then it's more of the same, I'm getting pretty good at it
I've been honing my aim, on not doing shit
Taking it slow, not much of a choice
I guess I'm trying to grow, and to exercise my voice
But there ain't much to say to a pocket of friends
The flashing screen plays all day, monitoring the new trends

But I'm trying to stay in touch, and know as little or as much
As the next one down the line, I'll scroll myself right out my mind
But I'm not giving up or breaking ground, but I'm tired of the cross hair stare down

But I had a good dream, last night
And it stayed with me, made me feel alright
And it was a gathering of way more than ten
And we were laughing, oh, we were laughing
Not thinking about the end, not thinking about the end

Picked up a few new skills, learned that I could feed myself
It's slow going uphill, but I know when to ask for help
So now our focus it's on something other than ourselves
Blue collars and blue gowns, saving lives, stocking shelves
To an increasing alarm, a panic that builds
Doing us all more harm, than just staying home will

Don't be afraid, but pray if you pray
And don't be dismayed, if this all gets delayed
Cause if the bed's not made, it can wait a day
We got a part to play, in the daily charade
