After the overdose I knew I had to choose

I'm sorry for all the times that I missed

I know I've been approved by The One Who gave me life
Sleepless nights, turned into dinner nights
With wife back then, I was in the dead of night

For nights, hanging on to things that I should never give
Love, now I'm doing things I've only dreamed of
Never thought in my life that I would ever hasten
Never thought I'd wanna make friends

Never thought I'd be able to pay rent
Let alone make it out the basement
Now I'm saved and it makes sense
So crazy

I was gullible, living in my skin was so uncomfortable
He would give me hugs while I was getting into trouble
He would show me love every single time I was unlovable
God, this is madness

What kind of love is this
When I am loved despite my sin
I give up, you win
I cannot pretend to be living with depraved mind
