To the train that left him waiting for another one to pass,
But only one hit the Island, so he had to hail a cab

He waited twenty minutes till a yellow cab came by
"Yes, sir, where are you going?" And this was his reply
"If you rush me to the airport, why, I'll make it worth your while"
And he flashed a roll of dollar bills that made the driver smile
"Ten dollars less per minute, ten dollars more per mile
Get me to the airport and I'll see you leave in style
They both were ruled by money, they knew no other way
Both could be of service and both of them could pay
The deal was thus enacted and rewards would be exchanged
As one receives his money and the other boards his plane
The rain was getting heavy but they were ahead of time
The access was approaching and the airport was in sight
The train it ran beside them and it nearly blew his mind
That the cab would get there early and the train would be on time
So the customer was satisfied, the driver was insane
They tore down the parkway and it seems a little strange
The taxi took the beeline and collided with the train
While the plane he would have boarded was delayed because of rain
